First of all, the paper used to make the paper container must be food grade paper. Most food paper is imported from Europe and America, which is considered the best grade among paper materials. Then, it must be coated with oil- and water-resistant materials through the coating process before the subsequent molding steps can be carried out.

Laminating is to attach a very thin layer of plastic material to the paper, so that the paper cup can be resistant to oil and water, and can hold beverages and soups for a long time. The choice of this layer of laminating material is also related to the characteristics of the subsequent paper cups. This is the step to make the paper cup strong and beautiful.

After the coating process, the required patterns and colors will be printed on the paper roll. The printing method can be divided into three methods: intaglio, convex plate and flat plate. The cost of intaglio printing is too high, and it is seldom used now; convex printing uses paper rolls for continuous printing, which requires a large amount of printing. Lithographic printing cuts the paper into pieces for printing, which is suitable for manufacturing small quantities of products. After the ink is applied, another layer of water and light treatment will be printed as protection.

Some companies use the method of "printing in ink", printing and then laminating, wrapping the ink in the laminating film. This manufacturing method has a higher consumption rate and therefore a higher cost. However, no matter what kind of printing method is used, the printing materials of containers in contact with food must be food-grade to ensure safety during consumption.

The printed paper enters the die and produces a fan-shaped piece of paper, which is the unfolded shape of the wall of the paper cup. The fan-shaped paper is collected and fed into the forming machine. The paper is then rolled into a paper cup shape outside the cup mold. At the same time, the mold provides heat at the joints of the paper, so that the PE is damaged by the heat and adheres to each other, and the bottom of the paper cup is then installed and adhered. Immediately after the mold pushes the mouth of the cup, the paper at the mouth of the cup is rolled down and fixed with heat to form the rim of the paper cup. These forming steps can be completed in one second.

The completed paper cup is then sent to the inspection machine to confirm whether the shape is intact and not damaged, and the internal surface is clean and free of stains. The completed paper cup enters the packaging process and waits for shipment.
